Creating a Custom Audition app or Reality TV Project on AuditionList.io

AuditionList.io is a real people casting platform made to help the casting professional cast Real People Talent.

The process of creating a project/show on AuditionList.io is currently free and is a great way to establish legitimacy for your Reality TV project. Whether you are in development of a gameshow or casting the 27thseason of Reality TV’s biggest hit show: AuditionList is the platform for you. Dedicated to high quality projects and over 20 years of casting experience we are happy to guide Casting Directors and Production Companies to success.

Let’s Get Started! First, we need to create an account on AuditionList.io with casting access. After you click “Signup” you want to make sure the “Casting Pro” checkbox is selected.

Now login with the username and password you created. It should take you to the Casting Workspace. This is where you will be able to create your first Reality TV project. Click on “REALITY TV PROJECTS” or Talent Pro->Reality TV. Then CLICK Create & Manage Reality TV Projects->START

1st Step – SHOW TITLE, SHOW EMAIL

This is easy, Type the Title for the project and the email that you want the applications sent to. Applications will also be stored in the database for you to review and tag for favorite and to help organize. (Confirmation email is sent to applicants so it is best not to use a personal email)

2nd Step – Upload Media and Text for Flyer/Landing Page

Make sure your project is presented professionally. It is important that every project has graphics (Show Logo[required], Show Banner[optional], Show Flyer image[optional]) and verbiage that showcases the creative of your show. If you need help with graphics or verbiage email support@auditionlist.io and we can help recommend some graphics tools and generate creative ideas for your visual presentation.  These materials go on your casting flyer landing page and application. Let’s get started on the application.

MOST REALITY TV SHOWS HAVE APPLICATIONS WITH RELEASES.

3rd Step – Copy and Paste Pre-Releases and Releases (up to 4 releases)

You will want to make sure you have all your Releases, App Questions approved prior to starting the process of creating the app, it’s easier when you can copy and paste all in order. You can edit your show at any time.

4th Step – Create Sections and Questions for Applicants

Each section and question can be unique to the show you are trying to cast. This is a custom app you create based on the creative of your show. These apps are often approved by production and the network.

5th Step – Review and Publish

When you are finished added all your graphics and with all your questions, it is time to publish and start pushing your project out to the Real People world.

You can un-publish at any time and edit at any time. Currently all projects are free to post. Eventually there will be a nominal fee to post for 90 days. And then monthly if you want to maintain the flyer after 90 days.

NOTE:

AuditionList.io is COPPA compliant - This is a requirement of most major networks and streamers. This means applicants must be 18+ to apply to any project posted on AuditionList.io. There is an “age gate” that is used to enforce COPPA Compliance.

Once you have created your project this is when the real work begins.

You can share the auditionList.io link directly to any all-social platforms. AuditionList.io has optional custom subdomains (i.e. summersingles.auditionlist.io). Each link has been optimized for sharing. This means that google will help guide people to your page when they search in google for your show. Also, images will be shown properly whenever the link is shared.

The flyer page has tracking to show Casting Directors and Producers how many visitors they have had to their flyer.

*pro tip – If you add “&msg=” then a tracking word or phrase to your flyer link (i.e https://auditionlist.io/rtv_flyer.php?showid=109&msg=sammyslink) you can have backend reporting on who has viewed your page. This can be very helpful to know what is working.
