Netflix
If you’re a fan of reality TV dating shows, you’ve probably heard of Francesca Farago. The Canadian beauty has been on several Netflix hits, such as Too Hot to Handle, Love Is Blind: After the Altar, and most recently, Perfect Match.
Perfect Match is a new show where 16 singles have to find their ideal partner among each other, based on compatibility tests and challenges. The twist is that they don’t know who their perfect match is until the end of the season.
In an exclusive interview with Variety, Farago opened up about her experience on Perfect Match, and revealed her biggest regret from the show. She also shared which moment that “hurt” the most and how she feels about her current relationship.
Farago’s Biggest Regret: Drinking Too Much Tequila
Farago admitted that she regrets “drinking too much” on Perfect Match, which may have led her to say things she didn’t mean or cause drama with other cast members.
"I do kind of regret some nights that I did drink a little bit too much tequila,” Farago told Variety. “There were moments of fill-in-the-blanks when you wake up, and you’re like, ‘Oh my god. There was a lot of drinking going on. It was unlimited alcohol, and I’m there to have a good time.”
She added that she didn’t have other regrets from the show because she’s not afraid to be genuine and speak her mind.
“I wish more people during filming were more authentic with how they actually are, and what they actually feel,” she said. “A lot of people give light, fluffy, don’t-want-to-cause-drama answers, and I’m not afraid to give answers.”
Farago’s Hardest Part: Ending Her Relationship with Dom Gabriel
Although she didn’t say she regretted it, Farago revealed that the most painful moment of her Perfect Match experience was turning down Dom Gabriel2, who she initially coupled up with, and choosing Damian Powers3 instead.
Gabriel is a 25-year-old model from Los Angeles who caught Farago’s eye right away. They had a strong connection and chemistry throughout the show.
Powers is a 29-year-old industrial engineer from Georgia who appeared on Love Is Blind: After the Altar as Farago’s date. He was previously engaged to Giannina Gibelli4 on Love Is Blind but broke up with her before joining Perfect Match.
“When I look back at it now, I feel like the hardest part would have been ending my relationship with Dom and choosing Damian instead,” Frago told Manny The Movie Guy. “When I look back and I think about it as a whole, that’s what I genuinely feel the most hurt for doing – I feel the most bad for doing something like that.”
She explained that she had to follow her heart and do what she wanted to do.
“But at the end of the day, I had to like, live for me and do what I wanted to do,” she said.
Farago’s Current Relationship: Dating Jesse Sullivan
Farago is now in a committed relationship with Jesse Sullivan, a trans TikTok star who has over 1 million followers. The two met online and have been inseparable ever since.
Farago says that Sullivan receives death threats online because of his identity but they don’t let it affect their love.
“He gets death threats every single day just for being himself,” Farago told Variety. “It’s so sad but we don’t let it get us down because we’re so happy together.”
She also said that she hopes their relationship can inspire others to be more open-minded and accepting.
“I hope our relationship can help normalize trans relationships because there’s nothing different about us than any other couple,” she said. “We’re just two people in love.”
